book the bungalow

Dom’s view of the party

If you ask me, you NEED to book the bungalow!

And now that I’ve enjoyed the greatest day party everrrr, I have a few tips to help you slay the day, too.

For the perfect pool day, the vibe is taking your time. It’s a slow burn not a rager.
It’s the leisurely arrival, VIP escort to the space, settling in to scopee things out, then we sip the champs and ramp up into an increasingly interesting party!

Here are the deets:

  • Where: TAO Beach Dayclub, Las Vegas

  • When: Friday, April 18, 2026

  • What: Bungalow (elevated sections overlooking the entire party, and include private plunge pools)

  • Cost: $3,000 (more like $10K during peak season or on a Saturday, but just wait, I have an idea…)

  • How: Book directly at Tao’s website

  • Weather: Tricky in April! It warmed up as the day went on but it was a bit windy and cool when we arrived at noon. The high was 70° during our visit.

Booking the Bungalow: Step-by-Step

  • In most cases, I’m just not a gen admin girlie. Not to be completely elitist, it’s primarily a comfort thing. Also, a Taurus is physically incapable of waiting in lines longer than 3.5 minutes. We need space, an escape, and somewhere to just be for a party break or snack or whatev. Home base is key for an extended day of fun! So, you’ll find me going straight to the VIP bookings page.

  • If your dates are flexible, check the calendar to make sure you catch the right music in order to set the tone. We wanted an exciting but somewhat chill girly day - not trying to pop pills and get weird - so I steered away from heavy EDM scenes. I’ve been to Tao Beach before and knew the music was usually a good mix of pop, house, and hip hop.
If your travel dates are set, aim for the Thurs/Fri options if you want a better deal and a bit more space. Saturdays are costlier and way more packed.

  • Booking should take place at least 6 weeks out. I booked 9 weeks out and when I checked a few weeks later, all of the bungalows were booked, so the earlier, the better! A member from the “Buddha Beach” concierge team texted me that week to confirm the reservation and welcome us. Nice touch!

  • The total minimum spend for a Bungalow on a Friday in April is $2,000. A $400 deposit is due at booking, and is nonrefundable. Suggested gratuity of 20% is automatically added on for convenience. Additionally, you may choose to tip your bouncer (we did $100). ®
All in, we spent just under $3K. That came out to $500 each for our group of six, and totally worth it IMO. One guest reported this to be the “best day of [her] life”

  • There’s a VIP line upon arrival, and you’ll need your ID as well as the credit card you booked with (the guys next to us had a different card and it seemed to be an inconvenience).

Prepare Yourself…

  • This day party is def an opportunity to catch some eyes with your most thrilling poolside attire. Weather varies, especially in the shade in April, so a cover up is not only vital for the walk through the Canal Shoppes to the venue, but also when you’re feeling a chill.

Our group fashion assignment was to be cohesive for pictures but not over the top themed. We opted to be a bunch of Sexy Skittles (taste the rainbow amirite?!). Bright, fun, noticeable - we likey.

  • Sunscreen is available there, but we brought our own. You’ll definitely need your ID and if you’re the host, bring the credit card you booked with! It was easy to be cashless here, but $20’s or $50’s for a few VIP tip needs would be a good idea.

Towels are provided so you don’t need to bring much. You’re better off considering what NOT to bring. Unfortunately during bag check, a stainless steel blender bottle perceived as a potential “weapon” was our first casualty of the party mission. They weren’t funny about our little girly bags with supplies this time (like bobby pins, advil/vitamins, etc.), but last time they did make me throw out my eye drops. I suspect our VIP accommodations got us a more lax checkin. They’re making sure you don’t have obvious drugs or weapons so, pack light.

The Grand Arrival:

  • Tao Beach is accessible through the Venetian, via the guest elevators and a short walk through the Canal Shoppes. There’s also an entrance facing the strip, that opens immediately to the host stand on the left.

  • Upon arrival, you’ll enter the velvet ropes for VIP check-in. After a quick bag check, up the {red padded} elevator {pictured below} to the action! You’ll be greeted & guided to your bungalow, and introduced to your team of servers and bouncers, who will provide the group with VIP wristbands.

  • First impressions of the bungalow were awesome - it was clean, well equipped, and the perfect placement to see the whole party and the DJ booth. It’s clean, chic, has just enough privacy for whatever, but you’ll still feel in the mix, able to mingle.

  • Our server walked us through the menu and how the bill would work right away. You will need to order a package or bottle - no a la carte cocktails available here (you’d have to go to the GA bar for that…but, like, whyyy ;P)

We chose a package that came with an XL bottle of Grey Goose and a smaller one of Don Julio, as well as a bunch of seltzers and red bulls. It was about $1900 so after fees and food it put us right around our minimum spend requirement. Plenty of food options were available for each of our dietary needs (had a couple of GF queens) - everything was soooo good! The BBQ chicken satay and burger were my faves.

The Bungalow Experience: Atmosphere & Service

  • The bungalow was our little home away from home for the day. One of our guests was even able to catch a nice snooze away from the action. Towel blankets ftw…

The space is furnished with two long couches, a day bed, coffee and side tables, a TV, refrigerator, safe, and access to the private bungalow pool overlooking it all. Plenty of space for our group of six, and will accommodate up to 15.

  • We made friends with both neighboring bungalows. To our left were a group of British bachelors. They lacked the chat but they had the looks so we accepted the views and left them to their tiddlywinks. To the right were more bachelor party buddies - but these guys had on Mean Girls inspired shirts that said “You Can’t Sit With Us” so we quickly determined they were the real ones. They treated us to champagne after the magnum was presented with much fanfare:

  • The music was bumpin’ but didn’t overpower the conversations - it was the perfect background beat. The bouncer took our group behind the DJ booth where it was obvi much louder so we took the chat break to bust some moves before we were kindly asked to go back to our bungalow for sitting on the wrong elevated surface. Whoopsie!

  • The server made rounds regularly and we never had an empty cup. We had way more alcohol than we could consume heading into the end of the day, so we rustled up shooters for the entire platform and still had some left over.

If I had to do-over the drink situation, I’d come mentally prepared for some easy festive cocktail recipes because the cran/vodka got a bit boring after a while. Right now, I’m thinking vods, soda, cran, splash of red bull and two limes, carcas out

  • The crowd was eclectic but elevated. People weren’t getting sloppy and most were dressed to impress. We’re talking heels, thong bikinis, sheer cover ups, coordinated head scarves, designer totes. Many a Prada raffia bag was spotted.

Helpful Details:

  • Weather: I’ve been to Tao Beach this time of year before, and was too hot in the sun of our daybed. The bungalow would have been just perf on that day, to feel warm in the shade, but on this particular day (the 18th), we had a 10 degree dip that made it too chilly for me to spend much time outside of the sun/water. Still had tons of fun. April is amazing, but slightly risky.

A bungalow is a perfect respite any time of year, but if you try any of the other cabanas, make sure you have a shading option June-August because it’s baking hot in that desert sun.

  • So one of the super fun VIP perks about the bungalow is the personal escort service to the ladies room. They snuck us out a secret door that dodged the masses and went straight behind the bar to the restrooms. Our bouncer waited patiently outside for us to ensure our safe return to the cabana. Of course.

  • Some rules to keep in mind: smoking and vaping are allowed, but no THC products (even though it’s legal in NV, casinos are federally regulated so no-no obvi ganj). In VIP areas they weren’t strict about discreet use, I mean who’s to say what kind of vape one has, but, just keep in mind it could technically get you kicked out.
Also, they really are funny about things that can be used as weapons so evaluate the weight or pointy-ness of any items you’re considering.

Value Breakdown:

  • During the booking process, you’ll be charged a $400 (nonrefundable) deposit. The minimum spend for the bungalow on our particular day was $2000. This is a minimum before gratuity and fees.

Note that the $400 does not apply towards your bill day-of. Our total came to $2724 all-in, so, that plus the $400 paid came out to a grand total of $3,124.

  • The bungalow allows up to 15 guests. Our group of six had more than enough room to hang out comfortably, and spent much of the time in the private pools overlooking the party, leaving the cabana as a home base for our food, drinks, bags and whatnot.

  • The way I think about the cost is like price for admission. At $200-$500 per person, all-day, all inclusive of food, drinks, VIP service, personal security, and good vibes?! Well worth it IMO. I like to have my own space and place to retreat for necessary recharges, but if you don’t want to pay the ticket price, it’s super easy to be invited up to the party.

We made friends with the ladies invited up by the neighboring bachelor parties and now they’re our new Aussie besties (IFFs - insta friends forever 😜). We were invited to evening tables by the party next to us, as well as next day bungalows by both the guests and Tao staff (they would add to the guest list for the next day, and upon arrival we could check in to hang with whatever party was looking for friends - I know this sounds weird but actually common in Vegas and does not oblige anyone to any funny business, I promise!). Super easy to enjoy the party for free, if you’re up for making new friends.

  • Saturdays are like double the price so next time we plan to pay for our own Friday again, then come back as guests of the Tao friends next day. Two for the price of one oh yeaaa 😎

But All Good Things Must Come To An End:

  • When the day winds down, you’ll be glad that one of the VIP perks is a personal escort down the super fun light show of an escalator. There’s one more spot to take some great pics for the day, and off you go!

  • We had a ton of leftover seltzers and energy drinks. Tao staff bagged them up and carried them down for us to go!

  • Once you’re done with the fun escalator, you’ll take a short winding walk back through the Canal Shoppes, through the Venetian valet area. Sure, you could hit the taxi line to the left, or get an uber, (or be like v responsible and have one booked already via BlackLane) but we had so much more fun being carefree with our exit time, and turning right of the valet stand. We negotiated a $120 cash limo ride so the party could extend right to our doorstep. Worth. Every. Penny.
